Establishing & Maintaining Appropriate Professional Boundaries 3.0 CE - REGISTER HERE
Mental health professionals are charged with the legal and ethical responsibility to maintain professional boundaries, but the duty isn’t always so easy to discern, especially working in a school setting. This course brings context to ethical concerns often experienced by professionals in practice in maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Presenters will review common ethical dilemmas and discuss a process to make informed decisions that insulate professionals from legal liability while also protecting clients from harm. An overview of HIPAA and FERPA will also be provided.
