Hicksville Congress of Teachers participate in "Red Scarf Project"

Author: NYSUT Communications

Several members of the Hicksville Congress of Teachers, both active and retired, are participating in the Foster Care to Success “Red Scarf Project.”

Foster students in college will be the recipients of special Valentine’s Day "care packages," which will contain knitted or crocheted scarves made by Hicksville teachers. The students will also recieve messages of encouragement, gift cards and other treats.

The Hicksville teachers support the Foster Care To Success program and welcome the opportunity to use their creativity to give a truly personal gift to students as they move forward to graduation and a bright future.

For more information on the Red Scarf Project, visit the Foster Care to Success website: http://www.fc2success.org/programs/red-scarf-project-and-book-club/.
