Connetquot Teachers Association (CTA), in conjunction with the Bohemia Historical Society were asked to help replenish the St. John Nepomucene Food Pantry. An appeal went out to the members of the Connetquot Teachers Association to step up, donate, collect and deliver groceries to the Bohemia facility.
The food was collected from the Connetquot School District’s eleven schools, which then delivered more than six very large boxes to the food pantry. The St. John’s Food Pantry regularly services 115 families weekly, so the CTA effort will help continue their generous work to help members of the community. The CTA offered the Food Pantry future assistance when needed.
The CTA continues its annual coat collection drive for the 2011 ‘Every Child’s Dream’ program. Members of the Connetquot community are asked to consider donating new, or gently used, coats, scarves hats and gloves for this year’s effort.
