The United States City Average Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) for July 2013 was 233.596 representing a change of 2.0 percent over the index for July 2012.
The Northeast Area Consumer Price Index for July 2013 was 249.411— representing a change of 1.8 percent over the index for July 2012.
The New York-Northern New Jersey Area Consumer Price Index for July 2013 was 257.326 — representing a change of 2.1 percent over the index for July 2012.
The August CPI will be available September 17, 2013.
Future projections of the CPI by businesses and economic organizations are found on page 3. CPI increases are projected at 1.5 percent for 2013 and 1.9 percent for 2014.
