NYSUT's Education & Learning Trust offers another online seminar — Bully, Bullied or Bystander — tailored for School-Related Professionals (SRPs).
SRPs are more likely to witness bullying during the school day because the people who bully tend to use less structured areas — the cafeteria, playground, hallway and bus — as venues to bully others.
This three-hour seminar provides an overview of bullying and its impact on the school environment. It defines bullying and cyberbullying, covers the roles of the person bullying and the person being bullied, discusses the responsibilities of the person who sees or knows about the bullying, and offers strategies to help prevent or decrease bullying.
