Richard C. Raymond
Richard (Dick) Raymond, retired member of the Rochester Teachers Association, died April 2. Dick was a devoted member of RTA and chairperson of the Retired Rochester Teachers Association. He was a committed unionist who attended all 38 NYSUT Representative Assemblies before his death.
Dick taught and coached in the Rochester City School District for many years and was also a swim official for 48 years. He enjoyed being a sailing instructor and member of the Canandaigua Yacht Club.
Dick is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Rae Ann (Victor) Jacek, Valyrie (David), Brenda and Richard (Michelle); and seven grandsons. Dick is also survived by his ex-wife, Mona; siblings Melody, Ray and Theodore; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Robert Moed, a retired UFT member, died on Nov. 27 in Delray Beach, Fla.
For 25 years Robert taught and was acting chairman of the Manhattan Vocational and Technical High School woodworking department. He was a gifted woodcarver and craftsman who won awards for his sculptures and carvings. Highly respected by his students and colleagues, he will be missed by all who knew him. Robert is survived by his wife Marsha; his children Gary, Janie, and Wayne; his grandchildren Adam, Shoshannah, Matthew and Timothy; and his great-grandchildren Aerin and Jacob.
