August 11, 2017 Important news regarding Member Benefits-endorsed life and disability insurance programs Source: NYSUT Member Benefits The Trustees of the NYSUT Member Benefits Trust review all Member Benefits Trust-endorsed programs on a regular basis to ensure that each program best meets the needs of the NYSUT membership and their families. As a result of this regular review process, the Member Benefits Trust Trustees recently voted to name the MetLife organization as the new Plan Underwriter for the Member Benefits-endorsed Voluntary Disability, Term Life and Level Term Life Insurance programs. MetLife has partnered with NYSUT Member Benefits dating back to 1992 when it was named the program provider of the Member Benefits-endorsed Auto & Homeowners Insurance program. Since that time, MetLife has demonstrated its commitment to NYSUT members by providing plan participants with superior customer service and a continued willingness to meet their needs.
