In the run up to oral arguments in Friedrichs v California Teachers Association, the labor advocacy coalition America Works Together is calling for a "Week of Action for Working People" to highlight the benefits for individuals, communities, and the country at large of the longstanding precedent that enables working people to negotiate together.
Join NYSUT as we continue our ongoing Union Value campaign and work with these many coalition partners this week to ensure the public and the Supreme Court know that the current law has formed the foundation for people to work together for more responsive public services - better outcomes in the classroom for our kids, quicker response times in emergencies, and better staffing for hospitals - and more vibrant communities.

So what's a "Thunderclap" anyway?
A social media Thunderclap allows a single message to be mass-shared, flash mob-style, so it rises above the noise of your social networks.
By boosting the signal at the same time, a strong Thunderclap can get a topic or hashtag like #WorkTogether trending on Twitter and Facebook.
Think of it as social media solidarity.
You can learn more about Thunderclap here: https://www.thunderclap.it/?locale=en.
Hurry! The #WorkTogether Thunderclap campaign ends Nov 19, 11:00 AM EST. Thanks!
