| Problems with the Grades 7 & 8 Mathematics Test March 2006 The State Education Department recently announced that there are problems with questions on the grade 7 and grade 8 Mathematics Tests. Specifically, three multiple choice questions in booklet one, grade 7 and one multiple choice question in booklet one, grade 8 previously appeared on the sample tests which were widely distributed by the State Education Department. The State Education Department is advising teachers to continue to administer make-up tests, which are scheduled for the week of March 20. The testing window shuts on March 24. At that time, the State Education Department will post a memo with more information on the questions and how this will be accounted for in the final scoring.
