Update on grades 3-8 ELA Scoring Hotline and contact information

February 2006


The following are points of reference that teachers should use in seeking answers to their scoring questions and for providing feedback on the Grades 3 - 8 ELA Tests. Please disregard any other contact numbers that you may have received via this web site.

CTB has a scoring help line that will be available until 2/10 (Grade
3), 2/17 (Grade 4), 2/10 (Grade 5), 2/24 (Grade 6), 2/17 (Grade 7), and 2/28 (Grade 8). The contact information is as follows:

In addition, a Teacher Evaluation Form is available online as a way
for teachers to provide their opinions on the on the clarity and
appropriateness of the test materials. The form can be found at
www.ctb.com.

Directions for the Teacher Evaluation Form

  1. Select "New York" from the "Select and Go" pull-down menu.
  2. In the column labeled "New Product Information," locate and click on the link for the "Teacher Evaluation Form."
  3. Select "New York State Teacher Evaluation Form."
  4. Complete the form.
  5. If you want to keep a record of your evaluation, print a copy before submitting the completed form.
  6. To submit the form, click on "SUBMIT" at the bottom of the page.

If you prefer, you can access the form directly by entering
www.ctb.com/pickupebs/nyeval/nyeval.jsp. Then follow Steps 4 through 6.
