| National Constitution Day celebration Sept. 17 Sept. 2005 Educational institutions which receive Federal funding are required to hold an educational program pertaining to the United States Constitution on Sept. 17 of each year. Since this date falls on a Saturday in 2005, schools can celebrate Constitution Day on Friday, Sept. 16. The SED Social Studies home site, www.emsc.nysed.gov/ciai/socst/constitutionday.html, contains a list of web sites and resources designed to prepare teachers for National Constitution Day.
