Ed Releases Bulletin of the Statewide Plan for Higher Education POSTED: May 12, 2003 Resources
On May 1, the State Education Department issued the Bulletin of the Statewide Plan for Higher Education, 2004-12. The bulletin sets out the process for the development of the master plans by SUNY, CUNY, the independent sector and the proprietary sector. These plans are to be forwarded to the State Education Department by June 1 of 2004 and will be incorporated into the Statewide Plan for Higher Education following review by the State Education Department. The Statewide Plan is then sent to the Governor and the Legislature. It is critical
for NYSUT and the leadership of every higher education affiliate to carefully
monitor the overall master plan process. The leadership of each affiliate should
engage the Trustees of their own institution throughout the updating process to
clearly and strongly present the views and interests of their members. Resources |
