Here is an overview: On the way down, we will tour Valley Forge, PA and on the way back we will break the trip up with a lunch stop and time to visit the sights at the inner harbor of Baltimore, MD.
The 2 days and 3 night stay in Washington will be at the Phoenix Park Hotel, which is located across the street from Union Station and two blocks from the Capitol and Smithsonian Museum.
The first day in DC we will be touring the city with a professional tour guide and doing the Monuments Tour in the evening. We will schedule visits at the Capitol, the White House (if possible), and the Holocaust Museum; free time will be provided to visit the Smithsonian.
We will tour Old Alexandria, Virginia on the way to Mount Vernon and have lunch at the famous Mount Vernon Inn with an afternoon to spend visiting all the Mount Vernon attractions.
