
RA delegates enjoyed a lunchtime performance of the hit stage play 'Yo Soy Latina!'

The cast and crew of Servia Silva, director José Vargas and Evelyn DeJesus go over the program with NYSUT's Zoilo Rodriguez. 'It was wonderful seeing the different facets of a Latina woman,' says Karen Blackwell, Brooklyn district rep with the UFT.

The RA recognized honored guests to the Rochester Riverside Convention Center former officers Tom Hobart and Antonia Cortese and Regents Chancellor Robert Bennett. Also honored: Elaine Sanders, widow of NYSUT officer Dan Sanders; Neil Johnson of the NYS Special Olympics; George Phillip and Sheila Gardella of the NYS Teachers' Retirement System; and Chancellor Robert Bennett and Regents Geraldine Chapey, Milton Cofield and Arnold Gardner.

First-time NYSUT delegates from Yonkers FT are: Marc Pekowsky, Joanne Casella, Bryan Boyd and Christine Marvina.

NYSUT staffers who keep the convention going include, from left, Clare Miner, Jennifer Stevens, Sharon Smith, Bobbi Trimarchi and Denise DeWolf. If you see Sharon Smith and Bobbi Trimarchi, make sure to wish them well. This is their last RA as they have both announced plans to retire!
