Getting There
NYSUT has arranged the following discounts.
- US Airways
877-874-7687 (Mention Gold File 32133269 to obtain 7% discount, or 12% discount if booked 60 days prior to travel. Restrictions apply.)
- Amtrak
800-872-7245 (After the automated voice greeting, say the word "agent" to be connected directly to an Amtrak Convention sales agent. Mention Special Fare Code # X19F-930 to obtain 10% discount. Restrictions apply.)
JetBlue Airways also provides travel to New York City from upstate areas. No NYSUT discount applies.
Ground Transportation
- Amtrak/NY Penn Station
$6 each way by taxi (10 minutes).
- La Guardia Airport
$25-30 each way by taxi (30-40 minutes). $15 each way by Super Shuttle (45-75 minutes).
- JFK Airport
$35 each way by taxi (30-40 minutes). $19 each way by Super Shuttle (45-75 minutes).
The Super Shuttle courtesy phone is located in the baggage claim area - no advance reservations required for airport to hotel service. Advanced reservations are required for return trip from hotel back to airport. Call 800-258-3826 at least 24 hours in advance to make a reservation.
Housing
Please read the housing information and instructions carefully and submit your form to NYSUT Headquarters (phone reservations will not be accepted). Reservations are accepted on an availability basis-first come, first served-but no later than February 18, 2005.
