McLaughlin lauds NYSUT

NYSUT members are the backbone of AFL-CIO regional councils around the state, said Brian McLaughlin, president of the New York City Central Labor Council.

"You not only give your dollars - but your minds, hearts and souls in so many struggles," McLaughlin said in his welcoming remarks. "Your agenda, the right to a free public education, is the centerpiece of what we are as a nation. And we need you now more than ever."
