ELT-Mercy partnership to offer MS degree April 27, 2006 New York State United Teachers' Education & Learning Trust is making it easier for NYSUT members to earn a master's degree in a high-demand field through a new partnership with Mercy College. Mercy's Bronx campus is offering a 33-credit program that leads to a Master of Science degree, making program graduates eligible for certification in Literacy: Birth to Grade 6; or Literacy: Grades 5 through 12. With the agreement between Mercy and ELT, NYSUT's continuing education arm, NYSUT members can earn 15 credits through ELT and the 18 remaining credits through Mercy's Bronx campus. The ELT courses will be offered at locations throughout the Bronx and cost less than traditional graduate courses. ELT and Mercy are hosting an open house May 10 at 4:30 p.m. for NYSUT members who want to learn more about the program. It will be held at Mercy's Bronx Campus, 1200 Waters Place, Room 1260.
