Certification answers for new members
Feb. 2, 2006 NYSUT's Dave Rothfuss and Dave Marhafer take questions about certification via teleconference. Through NYSUT's new-member program, local unions can access teleconferences on the different levels of certification, including certification of teaching assistants. The sessions last 45 minutes, allow questions and are designed to provide professional support to new members. "It was helpful to talk to someone who has the expertise to know how to help," said Rochester TA member Rachel Litwak. This spring, sessions are scheduled for the Elmsford, North Country, Rochester, Suffolk, Vestal and Western regional offices. Contact your local president for more information. |
