Get tested for colorectal cancer March 3, 2005 One way to observe Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month — March — would be to get a colon exam. The American Cancer Society estimates that 30,000 lives could be saved annually if everyone age 50 or older got tested for colon cancer. For information on what tests are available, and the latest research news on colorectal cancer, see www.cancer.org. New York State United Teachers is a statewide flagship sponsor of the ACS's annual Making Strides walk for cancer in October, and a year-round supporter of education and awareness. |
