SED forums detail new math and ELA tests January 20, 2005 The State Education Department will host a series of regional forums to answer questions and detail implementation plans for the new English Language Arts and math testing programs for grades 3 through 8. The forums will be divided into two sessions: from 1 to 4 p.m. for educators; 5 to 7:30 p.m. for school board members, parents and community members. SED recommends that administrators, teacher leaders; and chairpersons from committees on special education attend the early session as a team. If you are interested in attending a forum, contact your school superintendent. For details, visit www.nysed.gov and search for "regional forums."
