SED forums detail new math and ELA tests

January 20, 2005

The State Education Department will host a series of regional forums to answer questions and detail implementation plans for the new English Language Arts and math testing programs for grades 3 through 8.

The forums will be divided into two sessions:

• from 1 to 4 p.m. for educators;

• 5 to 7:30 p.m. for school board members, parents and community members.

SED recommends that administrators, teacher leaders; and chairpersons from committees on special education attend the early session as a team.
