Newark Valley local pushes
for traffic safety March 26, 2003 Many districts across the state have multiple New York State United Teachers locals and multiple contracts. It's not unheard of for districts to have four or more bargaining units, some with fewer than 25 members. To help local affiliates and chapters in the same district to consolidate into one bargaining unit, NYSUT has started a pilot project that includes financial incentives and technical assistance over a three-year period.
