YOUR UNION MENTOR

If I had tenure in one district, then relocated to another district, will I retain my tenure?

No. Tenure is not transferable from district to district. However, once you have been granted tenure in one district in the state, you need serve only a two-year (instead of three-year) probationary period before being eligible for tenure in another district.
