The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards wants to know what you think a nationally certified teacher should know.

The board is seeking comment on proposed new standards for some teachers of health education and reading language arts. These standards form the basis of the performance-based assessments nationally certified teachers must pass.

The standards and an online response form are posted at www.nbpts.org/standards/public_comment_drafts.html, or call (800)22TEACH. NBPTS needs responses by March 18.
